Bago pa man tuluyang alisin ang mga Christmas displays along the Animal Trail, at least ma-recognize ko man lang through my blog how I really appreciate our local government’s efforts na maibalik ang sigla ng Marikina. Pero sabi nga, comeback is real mah homies!
Eniwei, simulan na natin ang Tour-de-Filipinas!

God sees the very intricate details of our heart, mind and emotions.
May mga Airmax, Roshe Run, Jordan at Under Armor – naku, kadami. Pero syempre, I am not vouching for the quality, even the aesthetics. I am actually not particular with the intricacies of shoes – design, quality, kung legit ba or not. I can’t even distinguish nga what’s fake from what’s original e. Kaya nga siguro madali akong mauto. Haha!
We can wear imitation products, or Class A’s, whatever you may call it, and still act as normal. Who would know and who cares kung fake ang suot mo? I guess no one would even bother to check whether what you’re wearing is legit or not. But when it comes to the Lord looking at us, He sees the legitimacy of our heart, mind and emotions. He plainly sees when we are faking things out or we are just going with the motions kahit na tayo ay nasa simbahan o saan mang lugar. He sees us so plain and naked, to the point that we can never hide anything from His sight. May tawag dito – omniscience.
And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:13
Have you ever considered this thought? That God sees the very intricate details of our heart, mind and emotions. Alam Niya ang lahat sa atin. Alam Niya at wala tayong maitatago kahit ano.
Alam Niya na nagtatanim ka pa rin ng sama ng loob sa nanay mo, or sa tatay mo at kinikimkim mo iyan for the longest time dahil naghihintay ka ng pagkakataon na maipamukha mo sa kanila yung sakit na nararamdaman mo tuwing may maaalala ka from the past.
Alam Niya na inggit na inggit ka sa kaklase or sa officemate mong madalas na may bagong gadget, may latest travel escapades out of the country, may bagong post sa Instagram na bago na naman nilang discovered na restobar ng jowa niya. Nung una, it started with a wish na sana maexperience mo din ang nararanasan niya.
He knows everything, but does He even care?
Of course He does care. In fact even before we were born, He knew us already, and He cares for us.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13
Minsan mahirap unawain yung mga plano ni Lord for us. When all you can see is the mountain of difficulties, you would never witness the valley of success. I remember when my friends and I visited the Anawangin Cove in Zambales, we trekked the highest peak of the nearest “mini-mountain” (parang ang baba lang kasi tignan). Matarik, nakakapagod. Parang gusto na lang naming sumuko. Pero at the end, we are rewarded with a view that soothed away all our pagod and reklamo. Worth it, ika nga.
When it comes to God’s omniscience, it is comforting to know that He knows everything, and there is nothing that we can hide from His sight. When we feel weak and helpless, He knows it. When we feel so desperate for answers, He is aware of it. When the world seems to turn its back on you, He is present and is carefully watching You. We cannot fake ourselves before Him. He knows us full well and He knows what He is doing. So why not just trust Him completely?
Sabi nga sa isang kanta, when you can’t see His hands, trust His heart. He is the One who is omniscient, not us. So allow yourself to be vulnerable before the Lord and make Him work wonders in your life.
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” John 13:7

Jesus didn’t say to “wait and make disciples”, He commanded us to “go”.
The church mentioned in the Bible does not refer to the structure, the building, nor the organizational system of the pious. The church in the Bible most accurately refers to every individual who has received the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives. If you have a personal relationship with the only Savior Jesus Christ, then you are the church. We, as Christ believers, are the church.
Seeking obedience to the commission of Jesus to “go and make disciples”, the church’s thrust is to get out of its comfort zone and move to where the “lost sheep” are. Jesus didn’t say to “wait and make disciples”, He commanded us to “go”.
But in our context, we understand that the church also refers to the people who gather to worship the Lord and fellowship with one another and ultimately being guided by the Bible. In the heart of every healthy church is the desire to be a living organism, not just a growing organization. Seeking obedience to the commission of Jesus to “go and make disciples”, the church’s thrust is to get out of its comfort zone and move to where the “lost sheep” are. Jesus didn’t say to “wait and make disciples”, He commanded us to “go”. And it is a stern instruction!
Last Wednesday, instead of our usual Breakthrough Service/Prayer Meeting held in the church sanctuary, the leadership has brought the program to seven different locations. The church is bringing the Prayer Meeting right at the doorstep of the members, and it is actually an exhilarating idea!
To be honest, I was a bit doubtful at first whether it will get support from my churchmates. When people are used to spending their Wednesday nights in a familiar territory like the church sanctuary, it will not be easy to break the habit. But it takes a step of faith before you can spiritually move forward.
And glory to God, I can say that the church have overcome!
Our church, Marikina Foursquare Gospel Church, is again an expectant mother with potential seven daughter churches (or additional Bible studies) within and outside Marikina. If it is the Lord’s will, we are about to witness a plentiful harvest of souls as we extend our reach towards our neighbouring communities. It is always encouraging to see the church growing larger and smaller at the same time. Larger because there is a healthy increase in attendance, and smaller because people are joining care groups and Bible studies. Just like the early church, leaders are being sent to where the people are and proclaim the good news of the gospel wherever they were sent. This is a church in action!
Here are some pictures from our pilot Satellite Prayer Meeting:
Slowly, all by God’s grace, we claim the realization of our vision statement:
Marikina Foursquare Gospel Church is a group of Spirit-filled believers whose lives are driven by God’s purpose, rooted in His Word, grounded in His love, equipped for service with the goal of winning and discipling families and communities for Christ.
And with this, the challenge is to #PrayPaMore! #TrustPaMore!
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
